Welcome to my blog! We’ll be covering a lot of ground here – first and foremost I’m a mental health counselor, so I’ll be sharing a lot of information about how to obtain happiness and mental health in everyday life. I’ll offer tips and thoughts on how to maintain a life you are proud of and excited about. I’ll also discuss ways to cope with setbacks and stress, fostering positive self-talk and self-image, as well as how to make your relationships the most fulfilling they can be.
Secondly, I’m a health coach, so I’ll be posting quite a bit about nutrition. Food is pretty important – I’m a huge advocate of delicious, energizing whole foods prepared in ways that will leave you feeling satisfied, not deprived. But food isn’t everything. We’ll also cover sleep, home environment, and physical activity, just to name a few important topics.
I started Health Counseling PDX with the goal of making counseling more effective by combining traditional psychotherapy with health and lifestyle coaching to create a more effective, more complete program to address your unique needs.
